Trial Date Set

I received an update from our Multnomah County Victim’s Advocate today informing me that trial dates have been set at today’s hearing.

The trial is set for FEBRUARY OF 2027!!!

Meanwhile, all the families of these victims are still left waiting to find out what police believe happened to our loved ones.

We aren’t getting closure.

They decided to keep our wounds ripped open for TWO MORE YEARS and keep us in the dark.

It has been almost TWO YEARS since we were told JoAnna died of blunt force trauma to the head and neck and her body had been moved- the same thing that was disclosed to the public at that time.

As of today, we have received NO OTHER INFORMATION. & are expected to continue our lives without any explanation.

Her children haven’t been able to grieve or gain closure. They are confused as to “why we still don’t know what happened to mom”. How can you expect children the ages of 14, 13, and 8 to understand or process that?!?!!!!!

How can the justice system expect me to blindly believe a theory that they haven’t even proven to the family?

I am NOT capable of convicting Jesse Lee Calhoun in the public eye without even being given reasonable suspicion or proof as to his guilt.

Setting the trial to a date in 2027 is absolutely most harmful to the families of the victims- and frankly, for the suspect who remains in custody in the meantime who is constitutionally considered innocent until proven guilty.

When is someone going to be transparent about this justice?

How can I trust a system who won’t inform me of the facts…. A system who DENIED THESE CASES WERE RELATED TO BEGIN WITH AND PUBLICLY ADDRESSED MY CONCERNS IN A PRESS RELEASE AS “online RUMORS”.

A system that has already provided the defense with all the information the victim’s families have been begging for.

A system that has failed We The People so many times before…

I need a reason. I need facts.

WE NEED JUSTICE.
